Black Swedish ducks are a medium sized duck, weighing between 6.5-8 pounds, with males being larger than females. They are a hardy breed, similar to a Rouen and are excellent foragers. Black Swedish ducks appear primarily black with white chests. In the one's that most closely match the ideal breed description, the first three primary flight feathers will be pure white. Black Swedish ducks are easier to breed than Blue Swedish ducks, as their feather color trait is dominant.
